Scholarships and school grade averages

Hi there. I'm entering my final year of high school in september, which is....less than a week now. i was wondering about averages as related to scholarships and had a few questions. i'd appreciate if anyone could answer these for me.

I know that university entrance scholarships are granted based on your top six marks including the requisites for your program. i was wondering about other scholarships people could earn that aren't program or university specific, but are judged on academic performance. Say you are taking around 7 courses this year, but in grade eleven you already completed three (grade twelve university/ap level). when non-program-specific or non-university-specific scholarships are granted, do they base it on your top six, your overall average for senior year, or just all the grade twelve courses you've ever taken? I'm asking this because i need it to make a decision for what courses to take.

I've checked out the program requirements for the two programs i want to attend (the BKI or Life Sciences or Honours Sciences at UW) and i've already fulfilled three of the six courses they want us to take. i could have graduated taking just 4 courses next year, but i opted to take 3 (or possibly 4 if i change my mind) more to take a full senior year courseload. Specifically, the program i'm applying to calls for 1 english, two maths, two sciences, and an elective, and i'm taking three maths, two sciences, english, politics, and classical civilizations, the last two being just interest courses as opposed to required ones. however, judging by my sister's recommendations (she's in second year in the program i want to pursue) she strongly wishes she took grade twelve physics, which is the science i did not choose.

I'm thinking of dropping classical civilizations or politics, or possibly data management to take physics. I don't need it for my program but i want to be prepared in university. Problem is, i took grade eleven physics in grade ten and i've forgotten quite a lot and though my mark was very high my teacher was an easy marker and thus i don't feel quite prepared as i should. it won't affect my entrance average, but if other scholarship averages are calculated including all grade twelve courses taken i'm afraid it might pull down my average and thus i'm trying to weigh whether or not i should take the course. can someone please help? Sorry about the post length lol i hope someone read through the thing.
