Most students struggle when they try to obtain financing for college. Student loans are an option but who wants to pay back tens of thousands of dollars back after college is through? There are several options is which a person can use the United States Military to pay for college and at the end of college you owe nothing but a little time.
Whether you join the military full time or just become a weekend warrior, Uncle Sam can pay for your college tuition, books, and even give you a little money to spend on the side. You have to be 18 and be a high school graduate, but barring medical reasons the military would be happy to pay for college.
One of the traditional ways that the military pays for college is through the ROTC program. ROTC stands for the reserve officer training corps. This program lets you attend military leadership classes while you are in college and gives you military training during the summer.
You can major in whatever you like, but you must attend the military classes and wear your uniform on certain days of the week. ROTC goes beyond the traditional college curriculum and you will find a social network within the program that will help you through all aspects of college life. In return you must agree to join and serve in the military for six years of service.
Another military venue is to join the military right out of high school. Not only will the military pay for your college during your tour of duty but they will pay for your college after your tour of duty is done. Four years of service and a chance to take classes while serving will give you a degree while you are in or just after you get out. The downside of this agreement is that if you have to spend an undue number of months deployed. This would only make you spend a little more time after the military to get your degree done.
No matter what program you choose, the military is an option other than student loans and scholarships. You can serve your country, have some really great experiences, learn about life outside the United States, and get your diploma while doing so. You can find out more information about using the military for paying for your college by visiting and talking to your nearest military recruiter.

Is this still a viable
Is this still a viable solution? I think it's something very useful and can also be a learning experience, not to mention that you can also allow yourself to get an education in the meantime. I want to attend the University of Phoenix and I was wondering if all the schools are eligible.
